After 2 years of work, the refurbishment of the Hotel Palladium Menorca is at last a reality!

The newly opened building was built in the 1970s. It had become completely obsolete and needed a complete renovation.

Located in the privileged setting of S’arenal d’en castell (Es Mercadal, Menorca), the hotel, a 4-star superior, is owned by the Palladium hotel group. AIA we have been the authors of the comprehensive rehabilitation as well as the new design of the common spaces and the rooms. With a built area of approximately 20,000 m2 and 264 rooms, the hotel also has a dining area, fitness room, a large outdoor pool area and chill out.

Our goal in this project has been to achieve a modern, functional and as sustainable building as possible, reducing its ecological footprint. That is why the reform has tried to minimize as much as possible the rotundity of the architecture from a respectful treatment in the choice of materials, construction systems and facilities. This effort was recognized in 2019 with the award for the best project in sustainability and hotel rehabilitation in Spain in the Re-think hotel competition, sponsored by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Spanish government.
