We present you a residential rehabilitation project that we have just finished!
On the first floor of an old townhouse, a total transformation of the space is projected to locate a house. Taking advantage of the free height of the plant, it is transformed into space on two levels. After a complete structural rehabilitation, the original wooden beams that were hidden behind a multitude of layers of ceilings are discovered and are left visible in a large part of the house, as well as part of the original solid manual brick walls that after being cleaned, they become the interior finish of the room.
A very open plan with two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen/dining room and a fully open loft on the ground floor minimizes the reduced size of the house. A terrace/gallery to the interior façade with a ceramic lattice finish over a large patio generates a double skin that allows the house to enjoy natural lighting and climate control of the entire house, which combined with the new insulation implemented, enables very high energy control and savings.
