AIA has completed phase 2 of the installation project at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), which consists of the incorporation of a new ventilation system for classrooms, study rooms, and the living room. of events in the Coderch building.
More specifically, 6 new air treatment machines with heat recuperators, ‘freecooling’, and the installation of a heat pump in the engine room complete our intervention for the improvement of the system.
Exploiting the pedagogical potential of the project, the engine room has been designed with the idea that it can be visited in the future by students and future architects. All this so that they can learn in an accessible and field way about how they work and the space that these types of facilities need.
With this reform, the building and the school have the necessary air renewal to be able to resume the face-to-face classes without risks of COVID virus transmission.
