We have been awarded the 2nd prize in the competition related to the new sports complex in Palau-solità i Plegamans

The proposal is located on the border between the urban fabric and the Caldes stream. An equipment capable of unifying two existing and different plots through a new transversal connection to the “Ronda Verde de la Riera”.

The building is configured as a compact box that slips through the organizing strips of the space / environment, configuring a suggestive and dynamic volumetry, reserving empty spaces for possible extensions that would complete the volume completely, without altering the operation of the pre-existing one, and with a continuous relationship with the exterior that significantly enriches its use.

The materialization of the proposal gives continuity to the urban fabric, through the use of ceramics as the main material of the intervention. Ceramic is also a natural and ecological material that reinforces the connection with the “Ronda Verde” and adapts to an environment as a recognizable material with zero maintenance and dignified and enriching aging.
