Can we achieve comfort in an outdoor space?
BALSA is a radiant flooring for outdoors. It is made up of a 2mm thick electric sheet protected by thermal insulation, placed under a wooden floor that allows air to circulate between the joints of the slats. It has been used in the air-conditioning of outdoor terraces, as the system is totally waterproof. Designed for the conversion of the exterior of La Balsa restaurant into a comfortable space, under the direction of O. Tusquets and with the collaboration of Alfons Soldevila, creating an enclosure with transparent methacrylate.
