Sometimes projects are explained by themselves. Sometimes it is an image or a section… In the case of this house, we prefer to let our clients and friends speak. Everything began with their “letter to Santa”, and four years later, we have received this moving message:
“Today I stumbled on the email that we send to you four years ago and I was really moved after reading it. Now that it is been a year since we began to enjoy this house, I am amazed to see that you achieved everything that we asked you for and more, which makes our home a “digest model home”.
We’ve had been on the verge of throwing in the towel several times because a lot of “magic” was needed in order to pursue our dream with our budget and it is true that we went through difficult times which we were always able to overcome, thanks to your help, taking us one step closer to our apparently utopic goal.
Thank you, thank you so much for helping us achieve the impossible.”

Casa Yanka is a single-family house located in Bellaterra, in the outskirts of Barcelona. It is a ground floor house with three bedrooms, a main bedroom with a bathroom and a dressing room and two double bedrooms.
The project revolves between two points, a grand interior patio and the exteriors with a swimming pool and a porch. The inner courtyard divides the house in two halves, the day part and the night part. The day part is oriented toward east and it contains the three bedrooms and the damp rooms. The other part of the house is oriented towards west and has large windows that can be opened to the veranda and the swimming pool. This space includes the dining and living room ant the kitchen. These three elements form a single space that can be divided with sliding doors that can be hidden in the kitchen space.
